During his sermon on Sunday, my pastor shared a quote from Joni Eareckson Tada that says a lot in a few words:
"God sometimes allows the things He hates, in order to complete what He loves."
I am a servant of Jesus Christ, seeking to live my life faithfully in HIM, so that I may one day hear God say to me:
"Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!" (Matthew 25:23b)
My life verses are found in Hebrews 12:1-2: "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
